“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for
he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law.” – Romans 13:8
We are blessed to have our present campus which has been valued at over $100 million! Our church family knowingly assumed debt to accomplish these exciting improvements.
In the light of low interest costs and an anticipated increase in construction costs, we made the decision to build the additional facilities we needed. In hindsight, we can see that over the past 8 years:
- Copper has increased in price more than 500%.
- Concrete has nearly tripled.
- Steel has increased nearly 400%.
By going forward with our building projects when we did, we saved literally millions of dollars.
Friends and members have given millions of dollars to get us where we are today, but we still have a substantial long-term debt:

What is the Goal of Conducting this Capital Campaign?
We want to become a debt-free congregation, and in doing so, free up major funding for our ministries and outreach.
Our goal is that through “24 – A Legacy of Changing Lives” we will retire, or very substantially reduce, our total debt.
In addition, we want to complete the renovation of the sanctuary and provide the new plaza fellowship area – at an estimated total cost of $700,000.
With a successful capital campaign, we will be free to pursue our mission and vision, including such items as:
- Enhancing and expanding our ministries
- Strengthening our community outreach
- Developing our committed team of volunteers and staff
- Maintaining a PFA campus that is safe and esthetically pleasing
We are asking other friends across the nation to join arms with us to retire the debt on the Phoenix Dream Center, and so we’ve set the following goals for this program which will last through the end of 2009:
- The Victory Goal:
$12,000,000 – We can reach this goal if the leadership of the church exercise a sacrificial level of commitment.
- The Challenge Goal:
$14,000,000 – We can reach THIS goal if a large proportion of the congregation is also willing to make sacrificial commitments.
- The Pinnacle Goal:
$16,000,000 – We can reach this goal if a larger number than normal of our congregation and members would sacrifice to make an eternal impact.
How are we going to reach this total? A TIME TO UNITE >> |
