As we look back at the past, we honor the vision and sacrifice of all of those who have had a part in making our church what it is today. During recent years, realizing that although there is never a good time to focus on infrastructure, church leadership made the decision to invest in our church facilities.

We made the decision to borrow the needed funds – and proceed as quickly as possible to complete the major development of our campus. This decision was a strategic decision, made at times when interest rates were near all time lows. In addition to this, we believed that construction costs were going to rise rapidly – and in fact, those increases exceeded even our highest projections.

So today, our church facilities are some of the most state-of-the-art available, allowing us to minister in a very relevant way to the diverse interests of all age levels.

BUT major portions of our church revenue now have to be used for interest and loan payments – limiting the funds available to support the over 245 ministries that impact the lives of thousands.

Through ‘24’ – A Legacy of Changing Lives – we believe we have the potential to change that in a dramatic and immediate way.

‘24’ is a two year capital campaign in which we want to put some finishing touches to our sanctuary and then eliminate or at least drastically reduce the debt.

We call it ‘24’ because it’s just 24 months long. Campaigns of this type typically last 3 or more years – but we believe that as we unite our efforts, we can reach our goals in 24 months!

The result of the campaign will be millions of additional dollars available, which can be directed to the ministries of Phoenix First – to secure our legacy, a legacy of changing lives.
